Yamaha’s racing leadership continues into round 3 of the AquaX racing series, held over the July 4th weekend in Sarasota with Yamaha racers completely dominating every class. Not only did Yamaha take 8 out of 9 podium spots, but Yamaha racers achieved it across three different classes of products – the FZ in the 300 class, the FX in the 250 class, and the VXR in the 200 class.
“Usually a manufacturer is thrilled to have just one winning model. Having three is incredible,” said Yamaha’s race director and IJSBA Hall of Fame racer Scott Watkins.
In the 300 class, Aqsa Aswar finished first, stretching out his overall lead in the class. Mike Kippenstein finished second, followed by Aero Aswar in third to round out the all Yamaha podium in the competitive 300 class.
In the 250 class, Brian Baldwin piloted his FX SHO to a top podium finish, followed by Paloma Noceda in second.
In the 200 class, it was all about the Yamaha VXR with Yamaha racers taking every podium spot. Travis Zielasko finished first, followed by Rob Greenwald, and Chad Saxon finishing third.
The AquaX Racing Series continues August 1-2 in St Cloud, FL.
